Aerobics Revolution was born in the heat of Dance Dance Revolution's success, transferring the logic of following the on-screen rhythm to exercise routines closer to aerobics than ballroom dancing. Published only in Japan, it targeted an audience looking to the console for an excuse to move, in line with what fitness games with cameras and sensors would explode into years later.
It's a minor title within Konami's Bemani universe, without the worldwide impact of its older sibling, but representative of how the Japanese industry explored rhythm variants long before fitness gaming became a recognized category.
