Arthur and the Minimoys adapted Luc Besson's film of the same name into a video game, following a boy who shrinks down to enter a microscopic universe populated by fantastical creatures. The result was a platforming-and-light-combat game typical of mid-2000s European film adaptations.
It didn't aim to compete with the console's big platformers, but to accompany the film's release with a family-friendly experience, accessible to the young audience that had filled European theaters.
