Dark Alliance II, developed by Snowblind Studios, followed the path opened by the first Dark Alliance: taking the Baldur's Gate universe and the rules of Dungeons & Dragons and translating them into an isometric-camera ARPG built for co-op play, with constant looting and direct combat rather than the tactical pause of the series' PC RPGs. It earned a fond place among those looking for a console Diablo with a Forgotten Realms flavor, and it's still remembered as one of the best examples of cooperative hack-and-slash from the PS2 generation.
