Burnout 2: Point of Impact refined the first Burnout's formula with Crash mode, more elaborate circuits, and an even more dizzying sense of speed, consolidating Criterion Games' saga as one of the most beloved arcade alternatives to the era's simulation racers.
It's a key piece for understanding Burnout's evolution toward its most famous installments (Burnout 3: Takedown, Paradise) and still plays well today thanks to its frenetic pace and its risk-reward design around the boost.
