Catz was part of Ubisoft's extensive Petz line, which brought to console the pet simulation formula born on PC: choosing a young pet, feeding it, playing with it, and watching it grow, with a strong customization and daily-care component designed for a kid and family audience. It's a title designed for short, relaxed sessions, closer to a digital toy than to an experience with clear goals, in sync with the rest of the virtual pet catalog that flourished in the PS2 era.
