Chulip is one of the greatest rarities in PS2's catalog: an everyday-life adventure set in a town full of eccentric characters, where the protagonist's declared goal is to accumulate kisses -literally a hundred- to win the heart of the girl of his dreams. Developed by small Japanese studio Punchline, it mixes absurd humor with a very particular melancholy.
Over time it earned a cult status among collectors of Japanese rarities for its bittersweet tone and its sloppy but charming aesthetic; it's one of those games sought today precisely because it doesn't resemble anything else in the catalog.
