D-Unit Drift Racing arrived at a moment when drifting was ceasing to be a niche taste and becoming a pop-culture phenomenon thanks to film and Japanese video games, and it bet its entire design on that mechanic: scoring by angle and drift control rather than by finishing first. It's a modest title within PS2's racing genre, made for those who specifically enjoyed that discipline rather than for the general driving-game audience.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
