Dakar 2 brought the brutality of rally raid to PS2: extremely long desert stages, roadbook navigation, and the possibility of completely wrecking the vehicle if the player didn't manage the pace, all under the official license of one of motorsport's most respected endurance competitions. It's a demanding title even by rally genre standards, made for those looking for something closer to pure simulation than the street-racing arcade that dominated PS2's catalog.
