Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception brought Bandai Namco's series formula to PSP: squadrons, missions with a narrative between warring factions, and that balance between light simulation and arcade spectacle that made the series popular on home consoles, now fitted to the controls and screen of a handheld.
For the PSP community it was one of the clearest proofs that the console could handle technically demanding genres, and it's still a reference point for anyone who wants to revisit what Ace Combat's aerial combat felt like before the series made the jump to high definition.
