Macross Ace Frontier brings to PSP the space and atmospheric combat of the Macross franchise, with the Valkyries -mechs capable of transforming into fighter jets- at the core of gameplay centered on speed and aerial spectacle, faithful to the spirit of the anime series created by Shoji Kawamori.
Like most Macross adaptations, it stayed limited to the Japanese market due to the complex music and character licensing surrounding the franchise outside Japan.
