Snoopy vs. the Red Baron puts Snoopy, atop his doghouse turned imaginary fighter plane, against waves of enemies in a flight arcade game with a deliberately light, cartoonish tone, far from the seriousness of traditional air-combat simulators.
It was one of the few Peanuts adaptations to such a direct action genre, built on Snoopy’s recurring fantasy as a combat pilot that Charles Schulz established as one of the most remembered gags of the original comic strip.
