AFL Live Premiership Edition, published in 2004 by Australian studio IR Gurus, was another turn of the crank for the series of official Australian Football League simulators, with the roster of clubs and players updated to that season. Like the rest of the saga, it aimed squarely at the Australian and New Zealand audience, where the AFL coexists with rugby and soccer as a sport of the masses. The formula stuck to the line of its predecessors, with competition and quick-match modes, without major revolutions from previous entries. Its circulation outside Oceania was minimal, typical of these regionally focused sports licenses.
