Black Stone: Magic & Steel, developed by Taiwanese studio XPEC Entertainment and published by Xicat Interactive in 2003, offers an action RPG with real-time combat, set in a medieval fantasy world. Players choose between different characters to face hordes of enemies while leveling up and upgrading their gear.
It was one of the few RPGs of Asian origin other than Japan to reach Xbox during that generation. Critics received it poorly, pointing to weak animations and unpolished combat.
