Gun Valkyrie is a third-person shooter set in an alternate history where the British Empire expanded to other planets and now must exterminate a plague of giant insects. What sets it apart is the movement: the protagonists use jetpacks to fly and dodge in combat, something uncommon for the genre at the time.
It was developed by Smilebit, the same studio behind Jet Set Radio, in a project originally designed for Dreamcast before moving to Xbox to take advantage of its hardware. Sega published it in 2002 across the three major regions, but it never got a follow-up: it never came to PC or PlayStation 2, so it stands as a closed, exclusive piece of the console's original catalog.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
