Catan, designed by Klaus Teuber in 1995, is one of the most influential modern board games: a hexagonal board of randomized resources, dice that determine production, and a trading and bartering system between players that turned it into a worldwide phenomenon. This DS version translates those rules into handheld format, with the stylus replacing physical tokens and cards, designed for both matches against the AI and local multiplayer.
For fans of the board game it was a legitimate way to take it on the road; for everyone else, a digital entry point to one of the most important tabletop designs of the last few decades.
