Densha de Go! Shinkansen - San'you Shinkansen-hen brought Taito's formula - driving real trains with schedules and millimeter-precise braking - to the Sanyo Shinkansen high-speed line, one of Japan's most iconic railway routes. The goal wasn't speed but accuracy: arriving on schedule, braking at the exact point, respecting every signal.
The Densha de Go! series is a Japanese cultural phenomenon with no great Western equivalent, sustained by the country's love for its railway system, and this entry is one more example of that fascination brought to video games with almost documentary rigor.
