Batman Part 2 is one of those old-school piracy jobs: it takes the code from Phoenix, Amstar's 1980 ship shooter, changes the color palette, the music, and some sound effects, and distributes it under a name that has no relation whatsoever to the DC Comics character beyond riding on his popularity. The goal remains Phoenix's: shoot down waves of mechanical birds and, at the end, the alien mothership.
Above all, it's a cataloging curiosity: a reminder that in the early eighties any recognizable name was fair game for dressing up a bootleg, with no control whatsoever over trademark or character use.
