A Day at the Races revisits the formula of horse-racing betting games that circulated on several home computers: the player builds their race day, studies the available horses, and bets before watching the competition play out on screen. There is no solid data on its developer or year of origin. It's an example of the horse-racing simulator subgenre that, without the graphical ambition of the big racing titles, aimed at an audience that enjoyed managing the bet more than the action on the track.
