Airstrike II (English Software, 1983) is the sequel to Steven A. Riding's original Airstrike, and one of the sturdiest side-scrolling shooters on the Atari 8-bit. The recipe is of Scramble stock: five cave zones, limited ammo and fuel, and depots you have to bomb to resupply.
The British press treated it with respect: some called it the best thing English Software ever put out, and others declared it the toughest and most varied version of the classic. Demanding like few others, of the kind mastered only through repetition.
