Dishaster borrows the old circus tradition of keeping plates spinning on poles without letting them fall, and turns it into a pure reflex game: a girl runs along a row of poles, re-spinning each plate before it loses momentum and crashes to the floor. It's one of the more original premises, within its modest scope, in the Atari 2600's third-party catalog. Its simplicity made it just one more game among many at the time, but the rarity of its theme — no ships, no mazes — turned it over time into a charming curiosity for those exploring the console library's less-traveled corners.
