Flag Capture has you navigating a board of closed squares, opening them one by one to find the hidden flag, while an opponent tries to do the same before you do, in one of the earliest examples of a memory-and-exploration game in the 2600's catalog. It's an austere design even by 1978 standards, but interesting as a demonstration of how competitive tension was generated with almost no graphical resources at all.
