Raft Rider, published by U.S. Games in 1983 for Atari 2600, puts the player on a raft descending a river infested with obstacles: rocks, floating logs, beavers that knock down trees to create more hazards, and even a moose that can also sink the raft. Each stretch cleared adds points, with extra bonuses for collecting gold nuggets that occasionally appear in the water. The player has three rafts —extendable with score bonuses— before the game ends, and different difficulty levels adjust both the current's speed and that of the beaver and the moose.
