Towers II: Plight of the Stargazer arrived in 1996, developed by JV Games and published by Telegames, already in the Jaguar catalog's final stage: the player explores a tower in first person, solving environmental puzzles and avoiding traps, at an unhurried pace that prioritizes observation and memory over direct action. It was part of that last batch of releases with which independent third parties tried to keep sustaining the system after Atari's official withdrawal. It's one of the most atypical offerings in the Jaguar's final stretch, far removed from both the shooters and the fighting games that dominated the catalog of those years.
