Konami revisited its first three-dimensional Castlevania and expanded it with Legacy of Darkness: it added monster hunter Cornell as an alternate protagonist, new levels, reworked bosses, and difficulty adjustments, all within the usual gothic setting —Dracula's castle, the holy whips, the saga's classic monsters.
For many fans it's the definitive version of the franchise's first 3D attempt, with enough improvements to justify revisiting it even after having played the original entry.
