Unlike the main Brothers in Arms entries, set in first-person during World War II, this DS version adapts the concept into a top-down perspective that uses the touchscreen to give orders to the squad, in a redesign specifically tailored for the console's hardware.
It's a representative case of how the era's major war shooters completely reinvented themselves to fit on DS, rather than attempting an impossible direct translation. The result strays quite far from the home-console experience but keeps the series' tactical focus.
