Amplitude took Frequency's foundation and pushed it a step further, with a ship racing along synchronized lanes to the beat of an eclectic music catalog, from David Bowie to Blink-182. Harmonix hadn't yet exploded with Guitar Hero, and this title already showed its obsession with turning music into a physical reflex challenge.
It's a key piece for understanding the evolution of the music genre before the plastic-instrument explosion. For anyone who enjoyed Rock Band or Guitar Hero years later, hearing where that formula comes from has its own appeal.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
