Beatmania IIDX is the 'deluxe' branch of Konami's rhythm franchise, played with a special controller that combines keys and a turntable like a real DJ's. This third installment brought its catalog of electronic and club tracks to the comfort of the living room, for those who couldn't go to the arcade every day.
It requires the specific peripheral to be enjoyed fully, which makes it a niche piece even within the Japanese rhythm catalog, reserved for hardcore fans of Konami's 2000s arcade culture.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
