This is the PS2 adaptation of the ninth arcade edition of Beatmania IIDX, the "professional" branch of Konami's rhythm series, which pits the player against a five-button keyboard and a scratch turntable over a repertoire of electronic music, J-pop, and tracks composed specifically for the series itself.
Like almost the entire Beatmania line, it required the dedicated controller to be played properly and remained confined to the Japanese market; today it's a cult piece for followers of Konami's arcade rhythm.
