Twinsanity abandons the linear level structure of the classic entries for more open settings and a markedly comedic narrative, with Crash and his archenemy Doctor Cortex forced to collaborate. It was the last entry developed with creative involvement close to the saga's original spirit before the handover to Radical Entertainment.
Its troubled development left cut content, but what made it to shelves is fondly remembered for its humor, soundtrack, and design ideas that broke from the usual formula. For many Crash fans, it remains the most beloved entry of the PS2 era.
