Dirge of Cerberus - Final Fantasy VII was part of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, the project through which Square Enix expanded the universe of its most influential RPG across films, prequels, and this action spin-off centered on Vincent Valentine, the mysterious secondary character from the original game now turned protagonist of a third-person shooter.
Its bet on direct action instead of turn-based role-playing generated divided opinions among the saga's fans, but it remains a key piece for anyone who wants to follow the complete Final Fantasy VII story beyond the 1997 game.
