Bad Boys: Miami Takedown, developed by Blitz Games and published by Empire Interactive in Europe (Crave Entertainment in North America), arrived in 2004 drawing on the Bad Boys II universe. Players alternate between detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett across action missions in sun-drenched settings full of cars and shootouts typical of the saga.
Despite the title's hook, the reception was harsh: it was criticized for unpolished gunfights and a repetitive level structure, ending up as just another weak movie tie-in of that generation.
