Fight Night 2004, developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports, arrived on Xbox in 2004 as the relaunch of the old Knockout Kings series under a new name and a revamped control system: Total Punch Control, which moved punches to the right analog stick instead of the traditional buttons, giving players far finer control over the direction and type of every punch.
That control-scheme change, uncommon for the time, ended up defining the series' identity for the entire following generation, and marked the start of Fight Night as one of the most respected boxing franchises in EA Sports' catalog, just a year before development moved to EA Chicago for the sequel.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
