NCAA March Madness 06 recreated, in 2005, the fever of the college March tournament, with EA Canada in charge of development. It dove headfirst into the single-elimination atmosphere that made the event famous: brackets, small-school upsets, and the pressure of a single game to stay alive in the competition, with no room for an off day.
Within Xbox's sports catalog it complements the NCAA Football series, offering the other big date on the American college calendar. For anyone who follows college basketball closely, it's a way to relive, controller in hand, the March madness that paralyzes much of the United States every year and fills every office pool, bar table, and family with informal bets.
