Team Ninja developed Ninja Gaiden Black for Tecmo, published in 2005 as an expanded reissue of the 2004 Ninja Gaiden. It folded in all the content from the previous patches and downloadable expansions — the so-called Hurricane Packs — plus a new Mission mode, extra difficulty settings and balance tweaks over the original.
It earned a reputation as one of the most demanding action games of its generation, with a technical combat system that combined sword work, ninjutsu and precise dodges. Ninja Gaiden Black stands as the definitive version of the series and one of the pillars of the Japanese hack-and-slash revival during the Xbox era.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
