Ninja Gaiden, developed by Team Ninja and published by Tecmo in 2004, revived the ninja franchise to turn it into one of the most demanding action games of its generation. Ryu Hayabusa returned to center stage with a fast, technical, no-compromises combat system, backed by graphics that at the time ranked among the most impressive in the Xbox catalog.
Its difficulty, far from scaring players off, became a badge of identity: finishing it was a point of pride within the most hardcore gaming community. Today it's remembered as one of the console's great exclusives and one of the high points of the third-person action genre of those years, as well as a turning point for the studio that created it.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
