Starsky and Hutch is the same chase arcade game that Empire Interactive and Gotham Games released in 2003, catalogued here under the title variant without the "&" symbol. Supersonic Software developed this Xbox version, built on the same engine and mission structure as the PlayStation 2 and PC editions, the latter handled by Mind's Eye Productions.
The game puts the player behind the wheel of the iconic red Ford Gran Torino with the white stripe, alternating between arcade driving, ramming rival cars, and street shootouts, all narrated with the breezy tone that made the seventies show popular and that the Stiller-Wilson film revival brought back into fashion.
Beyond the double-title trivia, the pitch is the same: short missions, light humor, and a San Francisco reduced to a chase backdrop, with no pretensions of open-world scope or realistic simulation.
