Astrians was published by BGV Limited in 1980 as a variant of Swarm, one of the many formation shooters that appeared after Galaxian established the mold of enemies descending in coordinated waves. The player controls a fixed ship at the bottom of the screen and fires at insects or alien ships that break formation to dive-attack.
