It follows Battleship's logic: place ships on a hidden board and fire in turns until the rival fleet is sunk, resolved with the minimal graphics and sound typical of the board-game catalog that also found room on the console. It's one of the many adaptations of traditional games that Atari and its licensees tried in the 2600's early years.
There's no major innovation to note about its gameplay, but it documents well the practice of turning classic living-room games into cartridges during the console's first half of life.
