Published by Spectravision in 1982, it offers the classic vertical shooting against waves of alien ships, with no major innovations on the formula that already dominated the 2600's catalog by then. What's most remembered about the game, if anything, is its title: the ellipsis and all-caps stylization of the name "NEXAR" were part of a flashy presentation trend several smaller publishers adopted to stand out on the shelf.
It's one more piece of the explosion of third-party companies that tried to replicate Activision's success in the early '80s, with mixed results in terms of design quality.
