Azurian Attack is a 1982 arcade developed by Rait Electronics, a small American studio, part of the wave of clones that followed the Galaxian formula: enemy ships breaking formation to dive at the player on a fixed shooting stage. It's a minor but representative piece of how Namco's formula got replicated by dozens of small studios in the early eighties.
Its interest today is mostly historical: as a sample of the clone fever of the arcade's golden age, more than as an experience that adds anything different to the genre it imitates.
