Barnyard Blaster is a shooting-gallery game for Atari 7800 designed specifically to be used with the console's XG-1 light gun. The player shoots at farm animals and other targets appearing on screen, in the tradition of shooting galleries that accompanied nearly every console of the era as a demonstration of their peripherals.
It's representative of a genre designed to be played in the living room with an audience around, and today serves as a testament to how Atari tried to replicate the success of the industry's other light guns.
