Cookie Monster Munch is the game the Children's Computer Workshop developed together with Atari in 1983 for the 2600, explicitly designed for kids aged three to seven: during the first six stages you have to guide the Cookie Monster through a maze to collect cookies and carry them to the jar, and in the last four the player switches to controlling a kid who has to dodge the Monster himself, now turned into the pursuer. The cartridge was meant to be used with a special large keypad controller designed for small hands, with a plastic overlay that helped explain the commands.
It's an early, carefully crafted example of design aimed specifically at early childhood, at a time when most of the Atari 2600's catalog targeted a considerably older audience. The Sesame Street brand also gave it an educational legitimacy uncommon for the medium at that point.
