As part of Atari's quality control process, this Production Test Program ran a series of technical routines on the memory, buttons, screen, and audio of each freshly assembled Lynx II, displaying results on screen so factory staff could catch faults before the console reached store shelves. It was never intended for the general public or for play. Today it's a piece of almost exclusively technical and industrial interest, valued by collectors seeking to reconstruct the hardware's manufacturing history rather than the biography of its games.
