Marine Wars, born as a Konami arcade game in 1983, puts the player in command of a warship that has to sink enemy submarines while dodging mines and torpedoes, in a level structure that combines direct naval action with bonus stages. The Atari 2600 version adapts that formula to the console's capabilities, with necessarily simpler graphics than the arcade original. It's one of the less remembered Konami arcade conversions in the 2600's catalog, overshadowed by other company licenses that had a bigger impact on the console.
