Pooyan is the arcade game Konami released in 1982: a mother pig, armed with a bow and arrow, shoots from a central platform at wolves descending on balloons or riding up on mechanical lifts, with the option of cutting the balloon strings to drop them onto other enemies. Its zany premise and well-tuned difficulty made it one of the most beloved games in Konami's early catalog.
It was converted to a huge number of home computers and consoles throughout the '80s, including a version for the short-lived Casio PV-1000. Today it's fondly remembered as one of those simple-rule, perfect-execution arcade games that defined the golden age of arcades.
