Raumpatrouille takes its name from Raumpatrouille Orion, the pioneering 1966 German television science-fiction series, considered one of the first serious European space operas, to dress up yet another space shooter within the home computer catalog. There isn't, however, enough reliable documentation to determine with certainty whether there's an official relationship with that series or whether the title is merely a free homage.
Beyond that uncertainty, it's a good example of how European science fiction, much less present in the medium's general histories than American or Japanese sci-fi, also left its mark on the continent's home computer catalog.
