Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy accompanied the Jaguar's 1993 launch, developed and published by Atari Corporation itself: a side-scrolling shooter starring a feline character armed to the teeth, designed to show off right away the graphical power of the new 64-bit console. Reception, however, was lukewarm, with criticism aimed at an uninspired level design compared to the expectations Atari had generated. This entry documents cartridge revision A, one of the manufacturing variants that circulated during the launch; gameplay-wise it offers the same experience that defined, for better and worse, many people's first public impression of the Jaguar.
