Xybots is the conversion of Atari Games' 1987 arcade, a maze shooter with isometric perspective in which one or two players must travel through levels packed with hostile robots, firing in four directions while managing an oxygen timer.
Its maze-level structure with two-player cooperation sets it apart within Atari's shooter catalog, and its arrival on the brand's home consoles extended the life of an especially demanding arcade.
