Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, developed by Black Isle Studios and published in 2004 by Interplay Entertainment, once again brought the Forgotten Realms into the direct action-RPG format, with real-time combat and local two-player co-op. The story picks up the heroes from the first Dark Alliance to face a conspiracy threatening the city of Baldur's Gate.
More class variety, spells and an item-crafting system expanded on the original formula. Critics received it well, though they noted it innovated little over its predecessor.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
