Combat Elite: WWII Paratroopers is a third-person shooter developed by BattleBorne Entertainment, set amid Allied paratrooper operations during World War II. The player commands a small squad behind enemy lines, with sabotage and infiltration missions typical of the war subgenre that dominated much of the mid-2000s action catalog.
The game arrived amid a glut of World War II-set shooters, a field where it competed against productions with far larger budgets. Its development had a bumpy road -it was originally meant to be published under a different label that went bankrupt before launch- which helps explain why it ended up a modest, little-remembered entry within that generation's war wave.
